Hello!

I'm Elexa Wagaman

My Mission

My mission is to walk alongside parents who find themselves thinking, “This is so much harder than I thought it would be.” I support caregivers navigating big behaviors, trauma, and daily dysregulation—both their child’s and their own.

Many of the parents I work with are raising kids with brain-based differences like trauma histories or neurodivergence. Others are surprised by how their own childhood wounds or family dysfunction show up in the heat of their child’s meltdowns. Either way, I help them find steadiness, connection, and a way forward.

Who I Am

I’m a Trauma, Polyvagal, and Neuroscience-Trained Parent Coach based in Marietta, Georgia, where I live with my husband of 25 years and our two teens. My coaching is rooted in both lived experience and specialized training.

When my son’s behaviors overwhelmed our family, I felt like I was failing at the thing that mattered most. Learning to see his behavior through a brain-based lens changed everything. It brought relief, clarity, and connection—and that shift now fuels the work I do with other parents.

How I Can Help

I offer honest, judgment-free support for parents who feel worn down, triggered, or stuck in survival mode. Together, we uncover the why behind your child’s behavior, explore your own patterns with compassion, and build tools that help you move from reactivity to connection.  This work is real, hard, and transformative—and you don’t have to do it alone.

How It Works:

When you book a call with me, we’ll sit down together and talk so I can get a sense of what’s going on for you and your family and where I can offer support.

I’ll explain my approach and the options we have for working together. You can ask any questions you have and see what type of support would be the best fit for your life and schedule.

If it feels right to you, we can book our first session and get started.  If it’s not a good fit, I will do my best to offer alternative resources or suggestions for support, wherever possible. There’s no pressure of any kind, simply an opportunity to see if we are a good fit to work together.
